This cute punch art birthday card was one that I made several months ago. Since I basically quit blogging for the last several months and then I accidently deleted all of my blog files recently, I decided that I would still share this card with you. Several of the items used have retired since I made it, or are retiring, but it can still be used for card ideas, especially if you have these items.
Because I send out so many birthday cards, most of the cards I make for workshops or classes are for birthdays. The leaves are from the Bird Builder Punch (retiring). I only used the top part of the leaf, rather than the whole stem. The flower is from Mixed Bunch (retired). Then they were punched out with the smaller flower in the Boho Blossoms Punch (retired). The flower is actually larger than what it looks like here. The punch was perfect for just punching out the small center section of the flower.
The bottom of the birthday card was embossed using the Pretty Polka Dots embossing folder (retired). The top section border was cut with the Large Scallop Edgelit (retired) and stamped with Gorgeous Grunge. The greeting is from Itty Bitty Banners (retired) and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits (retiring).
The retiring items will be gone as of the end of next month or while supplies last, whichever comes first. So if you don’t have and would like to get them, you need to hurry and order before it’s too late. I hope this birthday cards gives you some ideas for your own cards.
