I love combining old with new items to make a beautiful card.
I know I haven’t posted for quite a while. At first, it was school work that was keeping me from posting. Then I got tied up with working on my husband’s books. I have been creating the cover art, helping with the editing and doing the book formatting. I have learned a lot as I have studied what I needed to do. We are only on the second book, so far. He started out just writing the books for our children and grandchildren. But we all pushed him to get them published. So now we are working on getting that done. If you would like to check out his site, you can see it HERE.
Now, back to stamping. I needed an anniversary card recently, so I took one of the card bases from one of my Paper Pumpkin kits, added some paper and stickers from an old Stampin’ Up! Scrapbooking kit. Then I stamped and punched some flowers with Pink Pirouette ink. Then I cut out some leaves with the Flourish Thinlits.
My goal, lately, when I make a card for someone is to use some of my retired stash, along with current items. I will share some more with you in the coming weeks. I’m really hoping to get back into posting more often.
So how are you combining old with new for your cards or scrapbooks?
