I made this simple baby scrapbook page as part of a Sudsol Challenge. Originally, though, it wasn’t so simple. I was copying the idea for the page we were using as our inspiration and I had a lot of embellishments spread around on the different squares. But when I asked DH what he thought, he said it looked too busy and it took away from the photo. I tended to agree with him, especially as I started removing them and seeing how the photo became more the focus for the page. So it just goes to show, simple can sometimes be better.
Another thing that made this a simple baby scrapbook page is the fact that all of the papers came from the same kit. These papers are all from the My Sweet Pea Digital Kit. This kit has 48 different papers in it. I’ve always loved this kit and it’s been a while since I used it. And since this page used several different papers, what a perfect kit for it.
The little heart on the left center block is from Hearts a Flutter Stamp Brush Set. For the title, Sweet came from the Fabulous Phrases Stamp Brush Set and Baby came from Lemonade Stand, which was one of the Hostess Rewards for a previous catalog. I think they go very well together to make the title.
