To choose my colors in MDS, I went to the Combos tab in the color pallette. I decided to see what suggested color combinations were available for Crushed Curry, since it will be one of our new core colors starting June 1. The nice thing is, MDS already has the Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay. There are only two of the new core colors not currently available in MDS and that is Soft Sky and Smoky Slate.
So when I clicked on Crushed Curry a few times to see some of the different combos, I got one that had Bermuda Bay and Primrose Petals as part of the combo. I felt that those three colors combined with the black should really pop.
But I didn’t want to just use plain colors, so I added some stamps and gave the different pieces an embossed look. The stamps I used for embossing the flags were from Elements of Style and the one I used to emboss the black piece was from the Meant To Be Board Book Designer Template.
I was so glad to see this tag punch from the Get It Done Kit. It is so much easier than trying to use the digital Ticket Corner Punch. Then the final touch was the actual greeting. It is from the Wherever You Go Stamp Brush Set. I loved being able to color the stamp using the different colors that I’d chosen for the other elements of my card.
