I used the You Are Loved Stamp Brush for the flowers and colored them with Lucky Limeade, Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Rose Red and Daffodil Delight. Then I added a butterfly embellishment from the Afternoon Daydream Kit and I recolored it to Bashful Blue. Then I added some Pearls to it. For the other two butterflies, I used one of the Beautiful Butterfly Shapes, which matches the Beautiful Butterfly Bigz Die. I made one Marina Mist and the other Night of Navy. To add some design to the butterflies, I used the same shape to crop a stamp and then resized it to fit the colored shape. For the Marina Mist one, I used one of the flourishes from Autumn Elements. For the Night of Navy butterfly, I used the Dot, Dot, Dot stamp brush. And, of course, I add the Pearls to both of them.
I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch for the edges of the white piece. For the background, originally, I had used Daffodil Delight Textured Card Stock but then I decided to change it out for some Designer Series Paper. The one I’m using is from the Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper. Then the final touch is the birthday greeting, which is from Apothecary Art.
As you can see from a lot of my posts, I truly enjoy creating digital cards, especially digital birthday cards. And now that I make all of these birthday and other occasion cards, I send a lot more out to family and friends.
MDS 2 is a great program to use for creating digital birthday cards, or cards for any occasion, pages, calendars and other kinds of projects. You can try MDS 2 free for 30 days. Just download it by clicking on the link below.
