I actually started with a square card template from the Sunny Day Kit which came with MDS 1. It’s no longer available. The only thing I kept, though, were the clouds and the background. I added the grass punch from the Celebrate Any Day Greeting Card Template. I filled it with Wild Wasabi. Then I added the sun from the On the Go Kit and changed it to Daffodil Delight. Both of the kit and the template are included with MDS 2+.
The palm trees are from Tropical Party Stamp Brush Set. I am so glad I had this stamp brush set. To give it more of a tropical look, I wanted to add some flowers along the ground. They are from Pink Flamingo Stamp Brush Set. I changed the color on them to Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo. On the Melon Mambo flowers, I did add a Circle Punch behind the center of the flower and made it Daffodil Delight. Then I grouped the flower and punch before I shrunk them down to fit under the trees. From there, I just copied and pasted it several times.
What do you think? Does it look like a tropical birthday card? Let me know in the comment box for this post.
If you like what you see, pass it on.
