May Stamp Club Projects

2010-05 - Stamp ClubI really love this technique, which is called Floating Re-Inkers. Jackie Topa has a tutorial for the technique. The flower was stamped on Shimmery White CS with VersaMark and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. Then comes the fun part. You use re-inkers and the Aquapainter to color the flower. Once it’s dry, then it’s cut out and attached to the card front. I really love this technique and my customers loved learning how to do it. I’d been telling them that they would finally get to learn it in May for our Club Meeting.

The background of this card was printed out from My Digital Studio because I didn’t want just the plain orange background and I didn’t have any DSP that was the right color.

The Whisper White piece was run punched with the Eyelet Border Punch and then run through the Big Shot with the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Folder. The greeting is from Simply Said stamp set.

2010-05 - Stamp Club This is the 3-D project that we did for the Stamp Club Meeting. I used the Mini Project box pattern from My Digital Studio on the inside of the box and on the outside of the box, which is Taken With Teal CS, I printed Tempting Turquoise Striped DSP. I really liked the way it came out. It helps keep the box from looking so plain.

On the top we did these beautiful Pansies that are made with the Butterfly Punch and Shimmery White CS. I got the idea for these from Gretchen Barron. It’s along the lines of the Floating Re-Inker Technique, too.

These projects were so fun to make that some of the ladies ordered the Shimmery White CS on their orders that night so that they could do it some more.

If you would like to join my Stamp Club Meetings in Clarksville TN so that you can learn new techniques each month, please contact me. We have a lot of fun at our meetings. We’d love to have you join us.
