Well, here’s the final installment of my calendar made with Stampin’ Up!’s My Digital Studio.
On the date pages for the month of October, I had to use some color in the background so that the Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon would stand out some. Originally, I had just used the Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White ribbon, but then decided that I needed to add some Basic Black ribbon to give it a little more color and to go with the rest of the page. I love the Medallion stamp, too and how it really added to the background of the page.
My daughter told me as I show these to her that this month’s pages were her favorite. I love the way the Riding Hood Red Textile DSP helps to bring out the dark pink flowers in the photo. When I went to put the flowers on the page, they just didn’t stand out against that same DSP. So I add a strip of More Mustard Textile DSP with a little larger strip of More Mustard Small Polka Dot DSP under that. That really helped a lot to make the flowers pop out more. Then the dates page looked so plain, so I did the same strips on the bottom of that page, too.
I had already scrapbooked this picture of our house at Christmas several years ago. But I just had to add it to this calendar. To these pages, I’ve added several strips of Grosgrain Ribbon to help the snowflakes stand out more. After I did the pages for these three months, I went back to the rest of my calendar and added a little more to some of the dates pages to make them so they weren’t so simple. What you’ve seen in my previous posts is my finished project.
