I’ve been hearing so much about the sticky strip and using it with glitter, so I decided to give it a try. I have now fallen in love with the stick strip and am going to
start using it a lot more often.
For this card, I put the sticky strip on close to the edge of my decorative paper. Before pulling the protective paper off, I ran my Embossing Buddy over the paper. Then after pulling the protective coating off, I poured some glitter on the sticky strip. I then used a paint brush to get the stray glitter off of the paper. For the work Friends, I mixed some glitter with some clear embossing powder to add some sparkle to the embossing. For the flower centers, I punched them out with the 1/2 inch circle punch, covered them with snail adhesive, then dipped my finger in the glitter and pressed it onto the circles. After the glitter was on each circle, I then attached them to the flowers.
I decided to try another trick I had heard about. After attaching the decorative paper to the card stock, I used a rule over the edge of the decorative paper and ran my VersaMarker along it to give it a more layered look without having to add in more weight or thickness. I am definitely going to have to do that more often, too.
